Rev. Dr. Roberson is the third child of Deacon James and Deaconess Elmira Roberson (both parents are with the Lord). As a layman he served in many capacities as a youth at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, under Rev. Robert J. Perkins; and as an adult, until he acknowledged his call to the public five-fold ministry on October 13, 1986 while under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Michael P. Williams at Joy Tabernacle Church in Houston, Texas. Upon returning to the Garden State in 1987, he and his bride joined the United Fellowship Baptist Church in Asbury Park, New Jersey, where he was licensed as a Baptist Minister on May 28, 1988 by his Pastor, Rev. Dr. Elliott Cuff.

He was called to Pastor the Providence Baptist Church and started the first Sunday of January 1997 and was ordained to the Gospel Ministry on April 13, 1997. He shepherded God’s people until the last Sunday in October 2004. Simultaneously, Pastor Roberson served the Seacoast Missionary Baptist Association in a few different positions, lastly, as President of the Congress of Christian Education.

Pastor Roberson did most of his undergraduate work at Prairie View A&M University but is a graduate of Eastern College, Saint Davids, Pa. with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. He is also a two-time graduate of New York Theological Seminary, New York, NY with a Master of Divinity degree where he was also awarded a FPWA Fellowship; and he earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from there as an inaugural Lilly Scholar (recipient of a Fellowship in Mentorship from the Lilly Foundation).

Rev Dr. Keith W. Roberson I, is a member of the National Dean’s List, Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, an Outstanding Young Man of America, a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated and he was the first recipient of the Kappa Alpha Psi, Zeta Beta Chapters’ Neophyte of the Year Award. Additionally, he is the recipient of numerous professional, community and civic awards.

The Lord spoke and the people of The Southern Baptist Church of Harlem, Inc., New York, New York
answered and responded by extending the call to Pastor Roberson to lead them on June 9, 2007. As a liberation theologian, along with his love for the work of ministry, and the people of God causes him to fill many roles. Rev. Dr. Roberson is a Lecturer and former Adjunct Professor at New York Theological Seminary. Dr. Roberson has a podcast called "Manna 4 MEN". This podcast ministers to men and encourages them to be better holistically.

Since August 9, 1986, Pastor Roberson’s greatest ministry is to his wife (his college sweetheart) the former Brenda Marie Sanders, M.Ed. From their union, they have been blessed with two children, a daughter, Tamara Marie, has her BS degree graduating cum laude from Lincoln University, Lincoln University, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; a son, Keith William, II, is a graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta, Atlanta, Georgia.
